Hollywood Forever’s Day of the Dead Celebration returns for its 23rd installment on October 29th featuring separate daytime and evening events.
Día de los Muertos – doors open at 9am PDT.
Noche de los Muertos – doors open at 5pm PDT.
“Dia de los Muertos” and “Noche de los Muertos” will be two separate ticketed events, allowing guests to experience a more intimate look at this year’s theme MAYAHUEL – THE MAGUEY GODDESS, MAYAHUEL – LA DIOSA DEL MAGUEY.
Mayahuel is the Aztec Goddess of Fertility, the Maguey (Agave), and the ruler of the 8th day and the 8th year. She brings us love, magic, and transformation. She has dominion over Earth, the Night Sky, hallucinations, and intoxications: the Centzon Totochtin, 400 Drunken Rabbit Gods, are her children.
Performers will include:
Son Rompe Pera
The Sacred Souls
Inspiraciones de Danza Mexicana
Grupo Folklórico Cielito Lindo
We are also proud to share this year’s art work by Brandon Maldonado.
