How do you feel about performing at the legendary Queen Mary?
We are very excited about it! This will be our first time visiting the Queen Mary, and it will be an honor to perform in such a historic place.
Being that you’ve both traveled all over the world, how does this particular venue stand out?
Something that makes The Queen Mary special is all of the history that it holds, and how many other performers have graced the stage over the years.
What can attendees expect to see at FantaSea?
The great thing about this magic festival is that attendees will get a chance to see so many different kinds of performers. We are illusionists, but at FantaSea you will also see mentalists, comedy magicians, and close up magicians that specialize in sleight of hand – something for everyone!
Tell me about your style of performance?
The fact that we are a true duo, with each of us presenting the magic equally, is something that sets us apart from more traditional roles in magic. From the very beginning of the show you hear each of us speaking, and it’s our goal for the audience to get to know each of us individually, and as partners.
What do you both bring together as a duo as well as individually?
Kyle and I both perform our magic with an energetic and fast-paced style, and because the audience is such a big part of our shows, every single show is different, and it is just as exciting for us as it is for our audiences. We do have different styles when presenting the magic though. Kyle has a bit of a sarcastic, sly and fun side, and you will definitely see that onstage at FantaSea, while I am more of a storyteller when sharing our magic. I’ll also be performing some of my favorite costume quick-changes during our show!
What makes your magic unique?
We are very interactive, allowing the audience to get up close and involved in ways they’ve never seen. Many things in the show are examined or selected by the audience, but we take it a step further by performing illusions completely surrounded by people. We also try not to take ourselves too seriously, and perform our magic with just a touch of irreverence.
What type of magic and tricks will you perform at FantaSea?
Kyle and I will be sharing lots of different kinds of magic for the Mysteries of Magic Dinner Show. We will be performing some light-hearted comedy pieces, some mind-reading psychology based effects, and even some larger stage illusions. We’ll also be performing of my of favorites pieces called “Nothing’s Impossible,” where I share the story of how Kyle and I came to be together, and how we both learned throughout our own lives that nothing is impossible.
What’s your favorite magic trick?
My absolute favorite trick to perform is something we call Divided. It’s our version of a classic of magic – sawing a woman in half – but done in an impossible way with the help of volunteers from the audience, with a few surprises thrown in!
